Mead is probably the oldest fermented beverage, created by fermenting honey with water along with various fruits, spices, grains or hops sometimes. The defining characteristic of mead is that the majority of the beverage's fermentable sugar is derived from honey. Join The Western Routes on a Meadery Tour and Mead Tasting session at the Moonshine Meadery in Pirangut on the outskirts of Pune. Moonshine Meadery's story from a garage project in 2014 to Asia's & India's first meadery in 2018 is incredible. Moonshine's USP is the ingredients that they constantly experiment with, to bring fresh varieties of meads that take your palate on a soothing journey. On this tour, we get to learn about their story, the signature and experimental meads they brew and of course taste their incredible range of meads.
What will we do ?
Date Sunday, 19 September 2021 Batch 1: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Batch 2: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm - On arrival, we will first go on a guided tour of the meadery and learn about the Moonshine's incredible story, see how the mead is made. - A honey tasting session followed by mead tasting with snacks and accompaniments.
