This February join The Western Routes on a food exploration tour to Indore. Along with this incredible city, we will explore the historical towns of Mandu and Maheshwar.

This is a comfortable 3N-4D itinerary based in Indore. All through the 4 days, we will explore the unique food culture of the town. We will experience the Maratha history at the Ahilya Fort along with the beautifully crafted sarees in Maheshwar and explore the architectural genius of Mandu.

• Today we will explore the beautiful and historic town of Maheshwar. This place is famous for the Ahilya Fort situated by the Narmada River and the exquisite Maheshwari Silk fabric.
• Lunch will be in Maheshwar
• Once back to Indore, we will explore the Sarafa Night Market for the unique food specialities of Indore. The sheer variety is baffling. One day is just not enough!
• Overnight stay in Indore

• Post breakfast, we will head to Mandu. Mandu is an ancient fort which is surrounded by stone walls dotted with darwazas (gateways). It's also known for its Afghan architectural heritage. We will have a guided tour of the different monuments here - Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, a domed marble mausoleum, and the vast Jami Masjid mosque, with courtyards framed by colonnades. Along with this we will also visit the Jahaz Mahal palace which stands between 2 lakes.
• Back to Indore and explore the remaining parts of the Sarafa Bazaar.
• Overnight stay in Indore
