Join The Western Routes on this OLD CITY BREAKFAST WALK led by Jayesh Paranjape. We have curated a new trail with a bunch of restaurants that have stories to tell. This is the best way to explore Pune's rich food heritage. We will traverse the by-lanes of the old city, hear intriguing anecdotes about the city's history, appreciate the traditional architecture and most importantly indulge in the authentic taste of Puneri food served by a few of the oldest institutions standing.
8:30 AM - Assemble at Shaniwar Wada. Introductions and briefing 9:00 AM - After a brief introduction outside the Shaniwar Wada we will proceed to explore the old city on foot. We will walk down memory lane, both figuratively & literally with a Puneri breakfast en route. We will be visiting restaurants, some as old as 100 years that are still standing. We will sample the food of course, and hear intriguing stories about the families who run these restaurants. 12:00 PM - Walk ends at Kaka Halwai Chowk (Datta Mandir)
