Join The Western Routes on a Heritage Walk of Old Pune every Sunday at 8 am.
As the summer begins we are changing the timings and the route of the walk.
On the walk, explore the old city of Pune and its by-lanes on foot. Hear intriguing stories of the Marathas, the rise and fall of the Peshwas, walk through the historic bazaars, admire the different architectural styles of monuments, temples and houses, and learn about the traditional art & craft forms that have been part of the city's history.
We will visit the following locations
- Shaniwar Wada
- Kasba Ganpati Mandir
- Nana Wada
- Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan
- Dagdusheth Halwai Mandir
- Mahatma Phule Mandai
- Tulshibaug Mandir
- ...along with many historical and interesting anecdotes about our beloved city.

What will we do ?
Snacks
- 7:45 AM - Assemble at the Mandai Police Chowki.
- 8:00 AM - After a brief round of introductions, we will start the tour from Mandai Market. From there, we will head to Tulshibaug Ram Mandir followed by Dagdusheth Halwai Temple, Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan and Nana Wada. We will pass through Lal Mahal to learn about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's home in Pune followed by Kasba Ganpati Temple and finally visit the Shaniwar Wada where we will end our walk. Along the way, we will share interesting cultural and historical anecdotes about the city. Of course, we will take break for chaha (tea) and traditional snacks en route.
- 11:00 AM - The tour ends at Shaniwar Wada.
