Join The Western Routes to experience the Geminids Meteor Show just 50 km from Pune.
This overnight session will be guided and led by scientist and astronomy expert Jameer Manur and his team. Along with observing the meteor showing throughout the night, we will introduce you to the treasures of night skies with the aid of binoculars and telescopes and we'll cover the basics for beginners, so don't you worry. Even if you're not into the science of it, come by to watch the mesmerizing night sky adorned with numerous celestial wonders and go back with a lifetime of experience!
This year the geminid meteor shower will peak on 13 December. It is considered to be one of the best and most reliable annual meteor showers.

Wednesday, 13 December
5:00 PM - Report at Anjanvel Agri Farm in Shilim. Stroll around the farm.
6:00 PM - Introductions, briefing and tea with snacks
7:30 PM - Introduction to astronomy followed by sky observation with Jameer Manur, our astronomy expert
9:00 PM - Dinner followed by a star gazing experience through the night. We will have tea breaks sporadically to keep ourselves attentive and fresh. We will have a comfortable ground set-up at our observation site. We will also have a comfortable dormitory stay for those who want to rest/sleep for some time during the night.
Thursday, 14 December
4:00 AM - A brief session about observing planets and planetary movement and also a session on observing the sky at dawn.
8:00 AM - Breakfast. Depart for Pune
