This 5 nights 6 days Stirring Leh Ladakh Tour with Nubra starts from Leh. Leh, the highest plateau in the Himalayas of India is a desert city, is the capital of northern India’s Ladakh UT(Union Territory). Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes. Being the northernmost part of the country it extends from the Himalayas to Kunlun Ranges and also includes the upper Indus River valley. Ladakh region is divided into two districts, Leh and Kargil. Ladakh is a sparsely populated region but is dominated by people following Buddhism and Islam. The word Ladakh means Land of High Passes. It is also called the Moon-Land and the Cold Desert because of its barren topography and extreme temperature during the night and in winters. After crossing Khardungla Pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world, we visit Nubra Valley, which is located at an altitude of 3,048mts. It is a high altitude cold desert, which means it has scant vegetation and green cover. Wherever your eyes go, you’ll see vast barren lands, covered with sands and rocks which gives it a surreal look. Diskit Monastery is the oldest and largest monastery in the Nubra Valley, with origins going back to the 14th century. Diskit Gompa is also famous for the statue of a protector deity (Kali) holding the head and arm of a medieval Mongol soldier.

Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Nubra valley covering Deskit Monastery enroute. Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a Double Hump Bactarian Camel ride. Don't forget to click this unique mammal, found in the cold Desert. It was once used to carry the trade material on the silk route. Have dinner and Overnight at Hunter/Nubra Camps/Hotel.

Incase of government orders, harsh weather conditions , protests , landslides or any other unforseen circumstances , we work out the best possible alternate plans or trips/treks. At times even even certain activities are cancelled , the organization provides the best alternate but no refunds are provided.
If a trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.), JustWravel will issue a trek voucher for the full amount and if possible will provide an alternate trek. The voucher can be redeemed upto same amount for the same trek or another trek in the next 365 days from the trek departure date.
If a trek or trip cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.). No refund would be provided.
