Hey, I’m Chirag Jain, founder of Backpacker Tours—and a traveler, just like you. I started exploring at the age of 18 and soon realized something was missing in most travel experiences. Most trips felt rushed, lacked safety, had poor communication, and often turned into loud, chaotic parties. That’s when the idea of Backpacker Tours came to life. In 2016, with two friends and a college room in Mumbai, with one goal in mind: To create travel experiences that feel personal, safe, and real. Since then, Backpacker Tours has grown into a community where people don’t just visit places—they connect, share stories, dance around bonfires, and create lasting memories. We limit our group size to 20 people and carefully curate every batch to maintain a positive, respectful vibe for everyone. My trips attract solo travelers, working professionals, couples, and Group of friends who value experiences over checklists and connections over crowds. Today I can proudly say that: Over 50% of our travelers are women, a reflection of the safe spaces we aim to create. 40% + of our participants are repeaters or referrals, building a strong word-of-mouth community. We’ve earned over 500 5-star Google reviews, based solely on genuine feedback. We are a registered MSME under the Government of India. At Backpacker Tours, it’s not just about where you go—it’s about how you feel when you get there. If you're looking for authentic travel with genuine people, I would love to welcome you to the family.

I have been on two trips with Backpacker Tours. One in Feb'20 to Manali-Kasol-Kalga-Amritsar and second in Apr'21 to Dharamshala-Triund-Bir-Billing. Both the trips were perfectly organised with flawless execution of the itineraries. Chirag makes it a point to cover all the offbeat experiences of the locations that we visit; whether it be tent stay in Kasol or hiking to our cottage stay in the cradle of mountains in Kalga or cycling through the jungle trail in Dharamshala. All these thrilling novel experiences at reasonable rates with excellent stay and food arrangements. Paisa vasool trips ekdam! Recommended 10/10 !

Would like to start with "TUM MUJE KYU NAHI MILE PAHLE".I should have discovered this Backpacker tour much earlier.
Out of the world experience.. This is my 3rd time to Himachal but never experienced Himachal this beautiful way. I will say, this experience I will remember for the entire life. Kheerganga track and hot water spring was another world experience. Stay in a remote village in moutains was WOW. Water rafting in
Beas river was unforgettable one.
Tour Operator Chirag jain is such a friendly and Amazing person to be with. He organized everything so well and very quick to respond to any request.
I would love to be part of many more coming trips and recommend to friends/family/colleagues. (Already my cousin has joined Himachal trip after my experience)..
But be very careful, you may fall in love with beautiful mountain rivers, Mountains, activities, itinerary and experience. Don't worry, it's good to fall.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of stay do we have during the beach stay?
We’ll be staying in a beachfront accommodation. Rooms are allotted separately for males and females. Check-in time: 12:00 pm | Check-out time: 11:00 am
Q: What type of trek is it to Half-Moon Beach and Paradise Beach? I have never done a trek. Is it possible for first-timers?
This is not a trek, it’s more of a leisurely walk from the cliff of Om Beach – a scenic route that’s also great for photography.
Alternatively, you can also take a boat ride to these beaches, which is a must-do experience in Gokarna.
Q: Can we customize this plan and add more places?
Yes, customization is possible based on your dates and preferred locations. However, we require a minimum of 6 members to customize the itinerary.
Q: How is the travel arranged from Mumbai to Gokarna and back?
Our journey begins from CSMT / LTT Mumbai. Gokarna has limited train options and no direct airport connectivity, so train travel is the most comfortable and convenient way. Do note: Train bookings open 60 days in advance, so please check with us early regarding ticket availability.
Q: What type of meals are included during the trip?
We provide: 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner (veg and non-veg options available). Meals during train travel and day journeys are not included.
